succession of violent acts that she either suffered personally or
witnessed.
33 Testimonies from an external EU Border.
Between Tunisia and Libya, from 2023 to the present, partly thanks to EU funds for border enforcement, state agencies and militias have been selling and buying human beings: black migrants, including many women, minors, and children. Victims of state trafficking have shared their experiences with RRX researchers, identifying detention sites and the authorities responsible for these crimes. RRX’s new report, Women State Trafficking, details how this business specifically operates against women. We claim an immediate humanitarian corridor for all the witnesses of the report still in Libya and Tunisia! Their voices must be audible before EU and international courts!
In Tunisia, the truck I was in [during the expulsion] was large […] it was full of rubbish… poo everywhere inside… they were used to transport animals, camels and cattle, so they put us in there; we were crammed into the back” (Witness MHM (Int. 62) recounted their experience)
